Car Accident
Some insurance companies suggest that during the driving life of a motorist, each will average involvement in four collisions. Unfortunately, some of the collisions will result in injuries. In fact, the National Highway Traffic Administration (NHTSA) recently reported that “43,200 died on the nation’s highways in 2005, up from 42,636 in 2004.” In addition NHTSA found that there were 2.68 million people injured in 2005.
Even more unfortunate, fifty-five percent of passenger vehicle occupants who died in 2005 were unbelted. Without question, wearing seatbelts can save lives and prevent injuries. I encourage all drivers and passengers to buckle-up. Never drive impaired or ride with an impaired driver.
