Smith, Jr. served on the faculty of a personal injury seminar "Ethical Considerations in Personal Injury Litigation" which was held in Indianapolis, Indiana on December 14, 2007 and presented a paper on Conflicts of Interests in Personal Injury Litigation and Ethics of Case Investigation.

Theodore F. Smith, Jr. served on the faculty of a personal injury seminar "Liens and Settlements in Plaintiff's Personal Injury Practice" which was held in Indianapolis, Indiana on August 28, 2007 and presented a papaer on Ethically Handling Settlements and Liens.

Theodore F. Smith, Jr. has been named to serve on the James Publishing  Editoral  Advisory Board to review upcoming publications in the personal injury area.
